๐ Summer Solstice Sauna Gathering ๐ Celebrate the turning of the sun with fire, heat, and movement as we welcome the longest day of the year. This is a space for your own solstice ritualsโwhether it's quiet reflection, journaling, movement, or simply soaking in the energy of the day. We'll be on hand with sauna, yoga, breathwork, and Chi Gong, alongside a warming fire to gather around as the sun lingers on the horizon. Come as you are, connect with the elements, and honour the light in your own way. ๐ฅโจ

4AM Solstice Dawn
Sunrise is 4.41am so this session is for those who want to experience the sunrise form the sauna!
5AM Solstice after the sunrise
At 5 AM, as the first light of the Solstice spills across the horizon, weโll gather in the lingering glow of sunriseโwarming ourselves in the sauna

5AM Yoga
Stretching into the solstice, flow through yoga poses beneath the endless sky, embracing the turning of the light.

6AM Silent session
This session is held in silence, we start really mild temps and warm up really slowly to our normal temp for about the last 20 mins.

6AM Yoga
Yoga with Rach on the beach will leave you feeling deeply grounded, refreshed, and aliveโmoving with the rhythm of the waves, breathing in the sea air, and stretching under the open sky, especially when paired with the deep heat of the sauna before or after, melting tension and leaving you in a state of pure relaxation

Wahooooo!! Let's gooo!

You are gonna feel so good!

The warmth seeps deep into your muscles, easing away any tension or soreness.

10AM
You'll feel an incredible sense of calm and peace, a tranquility that stays with you long after you leave- I call it Afterglow!

Your skin will glow, and you'll feel lighter, as if all the stresses have been sweat out of your body.

It's like hitting the reset button on your body and mind, pure bliss and relaxation.

9PM Seated Hot Yoga
A gentle, seated yoga flow inside the sauna, combining warmth, breath, and movement for deep relaxation and flexibility.

Just above the high tide line
We are located at the lower end of the promenade so if you are looking out to the sea- you want to head to the left of the pier along the promenade. This location has many benefits compared to the other locations we have expemeimented with in Saltburn,.

Trip Tips

Bring two towels
One for sitting on and one for getting dried.

Bring a bottle of water
You will sweat a lot and so bring some water... with maybe a crunch of sea salt in for hydration.

Wear swimming cozzie underneath
To save time when you get here just wear your cozzie underneath.

Be gentle and don't go out of your depth
If you do decide to have a dip , please be gentle on yourself, go in slowly and incrementally. Then when you are up to your waist slowly submerge. There is no need to go out of your depth. You go in the sea at your own risk.

Wrap Up Warm!
Bring plenty of baggy clothes to get back into once you are finished. Maybe a changing robe for modesty!

Head torch or torch
If you are attending a session before or after dark it might be helpful for you to bring a head torch or torch. We do have lights, but it is best to have your own personal torch if you have one!

Booties
If you have sensitive feet you may wish to wear crocs or booties as the beach can be pebbly.
FAQs
What Should I Do in a Sauna?
We recommend simply doing the sauna what traditional sauna-ers have long done: nothing. Just sit there. Let your mind go. Do some reflecting while your thinking is still sharp; meditate when your mind starts going blank. Just be.
We will have a guided meditation and breathwork if the feeling is right.
It is also Ok to chat- this is your session and gift to yourself.
What Should I Do After I Sauna?
During your sauna session, youโll lose a lot of water through your sweat โ up to four cups during a twenty-minute session! Be sure to rehydrate with plenty of water afterward. Supplement with electrolytes as needed.
We would also recommend to just go easy on yourself. You will be in a state of high vibration and relaxation. You want to be in that state as long as possible so stay away from stressful or negative situations, people or media.
What Should I Bring?
Bottle of water. Towl. Bag for putting clothes in while you are in the sauna. Dress in something loose and comfy with bathing costume underneath. We are just in bathing costume in the sauna then in and out of the sea (if you wish). Afterwards it's a case of getting back into your clothes again a bit wet, so consider a dressing gown/towel/ dry robe for modesty.
I do not want to go in the sea
That is absolutely fine there is no pressure at all to go in the sea! You can stay in the sauna as long as is comfortable and just take breaks out in the air.
