A weekend to detox, reset, and restore your natural balance.

Overview

Modern life loads the body with more than it’s built to handle — stress, screens, processed food, constant distraction and chatter . Over time, those pressures slow the systems that keep you well: the liver, gut, skin, and lymph. The Clearing is about stimulating these systems and giving them space to recover. Across the weekend we use proven, natural methods to support detox and renewal — sauna and cold-water immersion to boost circulation and immunity, breathwork and yoga to open the lungs and digestive tract, and native herbs, juices, and simple food to feed the body’s repair process. Held in a meadow and ancient woodland near Whitby, the programme weaves science and nature together: movement, sound, foraging, and firelight. Two days to let the body do what it already knows how to do — cleanse, balance, and begin again.

Schedule

Day 1 – Release & Reset We begin by waking the body’s natural cleansing systems with movement, breath, and warmth, then move into herbal medicine, self-massage, and sauna to clear and recharge. The day ends with shared food, fasting insights, and a fire ceremony to let go of what’s heavy. Day 2 – Renew & Integrate An early walk to Falling Foss begins with breathwork in the Hermitage and a cold-water cleanse beneath the waterfall. Back on the land, we close with nourishment, sound, and reflection — grounding the body and mind before an early afternoon finish.

Whitby Wellbeing’s own meadow and woodland,

Stone circles on the moor tops, ancient trees, a wild corner of North Yorkshire that holds us quietly.

Tucked away down a single-track lane just south of Whitby — the kind with grass growing down the middle, surrounded by fields, farms, and ancient woodland. It’s quiet, sheltered, and undisturbed — the perfect place to slow down.

The meadow opens wide for gathering and fire, watched over by ancient oaks and encircled by hawthorn.

The woodland holds cool shade and the sound of running water from a small stream that winds through it. There’s space to wander, sit in reflection, or simply be alone. A teepee and a weatherproof outdoor kitchen mean we’re comfortable in any weather, and there’s plenty of parking.
