The Whitby Wellbeing Weekender keeps things simple:

A gorgeous house for the weekend, with 5-7 of your favourite people, and a blend of grounding wellbeing experiences shaped around your time here.

Sometimes you just need to get away, gather your people, and reset somewhere that feels different to everyday life. A change of scenery, the pull of the sea, and a bit of gentle wellbeing woven in can lift everyone in a way that’s subtle but lasting.

Whitby is perfect for that — quiet corners, big skies, beaches to wander, and a pace that naturally slows you down. By the end of the weekend, you’ll feel clearer, rested, and properly reconnected with yourself, each other, and the coast.

Custom Weekend

If you have something specific in mind, we can also design a custom weekend for your group. We’re happy to shape the schedule around you and bring together a mix of activities — movement, breathwork, sauna, foraging, wild food, cold water, or simply time on the land — to create a weekend that fits your group perfectly.

Gather, Cook, Slow Down

Ground Floor

A modern, well-equipped kitchen and dining room sits at the heart of the home, with everything you need:

  • Electric oven, induction hob, microwave

  • Fridge/freezer

  • Dishwasher

It’s a bright, welcoming space where morning coffees drift into long breakfasts and group dinners somehow turn into deep conversations. Double doors lead out to the enclosed back garden — perfect for sitting in the sun, sharing food, or simply decompressing after a dip in the sea.

There’s also a utility room with a washing machine (ideal for sandy clothes) and a separate toilet.

Cosy Nights In

First Floor

Upstairs you’ll find the living room with:

  • Smart TV

  • Modern media wall

  • Electric fire

  • Juliet balcony for fresh coastal air

It’s a soft, spacious room made for flopping after the sauna, stretching out with a book, or chatting through the day’s adventures. This floor also has:

  • Bedroom 1: a comfortable double

  • Family bathroom: bath with shower over

Space for Everyone

Second Floor

The top floor holds three more rooms:

  • Master bedroom: kingsize bed + en-suite (shower & toilet)

  • Twin room: two singles

With gas central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels, and Wi-Fi all included, you really can travel light and settle straight in.

There’s also a private parking space, a bike store, and a fully enclosed garden with outdoor furniture — perfect for pre-sauna tea, breathwork, or simply warming up in the morning sun.

Faqs

The house sleeps up to eight people across four bedrooms. It’s ideal for families, groups of friends, or small celebrations looking for a cosy home base in Whitby.

No experience needed. Everything is guided and hands-on. Our facilitators are skilled. You’ll be supported every step of the way and can join in as much or as little as you like.

It’s in a peaceful residential area of Whitby, away from the crowds but only a 15-minute walk to the beach and town. Quiet at night, easy to wander during the day.

Bedding, towels, Wi-Fi, kitchen kit, and basics are all included. Just bring your usual weekend stuff — clothes, food, swimwear, maybe walking boots.Weather-appropriate clothing and sturdy footwear.

The saunas are held on the beaches around Whitby. The events are at Sneatonthorpe 5 mins south of Whitby in a private meadow and ancient woodland with a stream.  Each gathering is held outdoors —  in woodland or meadow settings with access to a sauna and campfire.

Accommodation includes a full kitchen with fridge and freezer, so you can cater for yourselves as you normally would in an Airbnb. Depending on the weekend you choose, some food is also provided. For example, our basic wellbeing morning includes a simple, nourishing breakfast for everyone.

No sorry. The events are not suitable for children.

We work with the weather. There’s always shelter, we have a teepee and some inside space...and the fire and sauna keep everyone warm. Bring waterproofs and embrace it — a bit of rain often makes the day even more memorable.

Yes — there is one private parking space and room for additional cars on the street.

Absolutely. There’s a fully equipped kitchen, a bright dining space, and an enclosed garden for eating outdoors. It’s great for shared meals.

Different activities run on different weekends, so the easiest way is to get in touch with us directly. Our movement package runs every week, while the forage and wild cooking weekends take place on the first week of each month.

You can either:

  • tell us the dates you’re planning to come and we’ll let you know what’s available, or

  • tell us which package you’re most interested in and we’ll share the dates that match.

Either way, we’ll help you shape the best weekend for your group.

All sessions take place away from the house on the beach, in the woods, or at Falling Foss depending on the package.

Yes — ethical hens, low-key stags, birthdays, reunions… as long as it’s respectful and in the spirit of the place, you’re welcome.
