There’s something really special about sauna mornings at Mermaid Beach in Hornsea. The sun rises straight out of the sea here, casting golden light across the sand and flooding the sauna with warmth and colour – it's a breathtaking way to start the day. The spot is surprisingly sheltered too, tucked just enough out of the breeze to feel calm and cocooned, yet still right on the edge of the wild North Sea. It’s easy to get to, with smooth beach access and space to park close by, but it still feels like a secret cove – quiet, peaceful, and undiscovered.
