Breathwork and Cold Immersion at the waterfall
Breathwork meditation and plunge in local waterfall. Saturday 2-5PM.SOLD OUT
This is a unique experience that will take you to the edge of your comfort zone in stunning surroundings. We meet at a beautiful wooded location between Whitby and Robin Hoods Bay. We are served Cacao to give us energy and help us drop into a relaxed state. We walk to the waterfall through the woods (bring your torch for the way back!). Once at the waterfall we will sit on blankets and have a guided meditation and breathwork session. If you feel up for it we will then take a dip into the pool beneath the waterfall. This will give you energy like you have never had! The walk is about 25 minutes there and 25 mins back. The session is for two hours. The walk is moderate to challenging. We will cross a river a couple of times. Trees are in the way and the rocks are slippy so you have to take care. If you have mobility issues please message me so i can explain in more detail. Sorry no dogs as this can disturb the group when in meditation.
We take you gently and incrementally to the edge of your comfort zone. You will feel safe enough to go a little beyond into personal growth.
Inner and outer healing
The breath and cold bring numerous healing benefits.
Connection to the elements
We lay on the earth and build our inner fire with the air on our breath. We then plunge into the cold water if you feel like it. You will feel extreme connection to the truth of the elements.
Offering guidance, assistance and knowledge while you’re here..

This walk is of moderate to challenging effort. If it has been wet recently you will need robust shoes or trainers. We cross a river a couple of times and we all help each other across- but if you have wetsuit or swimming shoes you may wish to bring them!
Once at the waterfall we will sit on blankets and have a guided meditation and breathwork session. I will share what I know about how to meditate and lead you through a breathwork session which will build your inner fire and make you feel warm!
If you feel up for it we will then take a dip into the pool beneath the waterfall. This will give you energy like you have never had! We will do this gently safely and incrementally. We then get back into our clothes and return to the trail.
We make a good size fire to help keep us warm before and after.
Back at the car park we sit under a wise old oak and share lovely grounding soup with each other and talk about our experience.
Stunning amphitheatre deep in natures embrace.
The colours are just magnificent, whatever the season.
Around 6 miles from the town of Whitby is Falling Foss waterfall, a stunning 30-foot waterfall and area of woodland to explore.
Wrap Up Warm
You will be quite still during breathwork, so cold can set in. So bring coats and blankets! More than you think you will need!
Yoga matt blanket or cushion
We will be sat or laying on the ground.
PLease bring a back pack to put all your kit in as you will need both hands for support as we journey through the valley.

What is Cold Water Imersion or Therapy?
To break it down, cold water therapy is an immersion process where you allow your body to spend time in cold water that’s is uncomfortable to sit in. This type of therapy activates the body’s natural healing abilities and helps relieve chronic illness — promoting better health and overall well-being. The cold water activates your fight of flight system and releases adrenaline, dopamine and endorphins. This is quote a load on the body but we do everything gently.
What are the benefits of Cold Water Therapy?
There are many benefits to cold water immersion: Activation of brown fat burns calories and improves insulin sensitivity. Being immersed in cold water stimulates leukocytes — white blood cells that help fight off sicknesses. It also causes the lymphatic system to contract, forcing fluid through the lymph nodes. This process provides detox benefits, as well as added immunity support. By using cold water therapy as a natural remedy, you can give your body a healthy boost.
