Lost Property Policy

"Where’s my towel?!" It’s the post-sauna cry we hear more than you’d think. After a deep sweat, a cold dip, and that dreamy floaty feeling, it’s easy to wander off without your towel, shoes, changing robe — or even your underwear (yes, really). With over 10 sauna locations running each week, we’re picking up 10–15 forgotten items weekly, and while we love creating space for rest and renewal, we’re not set up to run a full-time lost property service. So, here’s how we’re keeping things simple and sustainable:

🧺 1. We’ll post once in the WhatsApp group

After your session, we’ll share a photo of anything left behind in the WhatsApp group for that location. That’s your window to spot your stuff.

📲 2. Tell us if it’s yours

If you see something that belongs to you, reply to the post or message us directly to let us know. If we don’t hear from anyone, we assume it’s unclaimed.

📅 3. Remind us before your next sauna

If you’re booked into another sauna soon and want us to bring your item along — please remind us the day before. We’re juggling sessions, locations, kit and firewood… so your reminder helps us help you!

🎯 4. One chance to collect

If we bring your item and it’s not collected at that session, it goes back into the shed for one week only.

🎁 5. Then we donate it

After a week in the shed, unclaimed items are donated to a local charity shop. It keeps the energy moving and prevents pile-ups.

📦 We don’t post lost property

We’ve tried — but it takes too much time, and things often go missing in the post. We simply don’t have the capacity to track and send things while running 10+ sessions a week. If you’re not attending another session soon, you’re welcome to arrange to collect your item from Whitby instead.

Thanks so much for understanding. The sauna experience is about deep rest, community, and reconnection — and we want to keep our energy focused there. Your help makes that possible 💛
